The Tidy! project addresses environmental issues with a focus on the challenge of sustainability and the part we can all play in looking after the wellbeing of not only our schools or towns, but the planet itself. A poet, composer and visual artist work with a single class of pupils from each school over a series of 10 sessions. The result of these artists’ visits to each school are; a poem, that is turned into a song with tune and soundtrack composed by the children and created with their instrumental input, as well as creative artwork based around the Tidy! theme and the group’s chosen topic. At the final performance each group will perform their song as part of a specially created interactive performance that directly reflects and responds to the contribution of every participant.

The Mozart Effect

The Mozart Effect is a highly visual and theatrical exploration of the music of Mozart for keystage 2 pupils. The audience follow the character of JJ as he tries to understand his sister Floella’s music homework. Six professional orchestral musicians perform the music both traditionally and with some reinvention, as JJ and his sister investigate Mozart and why his music is still so important and well loved today.

Tickets are £5 teachers & adult supervisors free

You and your toddler can enjoy a fun, creative hour of art and play with no worry about clearing up, redecoration etc.  Each week we will discover new ways to make marks, mess and mums proud.
For best results sign up for a block of weekly classes, single sessions can be booked on a week by week basis but please call to confirm availability.

Cardiff Gamelan presents a varied programme from their repertoire of both traditional and contemporary pieces on St David’s Hall’s Javanese gamelan.
The Javanese Gamelan is surely one of the most spell-binding and exotic sounds of the East; a whole orchestra made up of metallophones, xylophones, drums, and gongs, casting an aura around both listeners and players that suspends time and creates a world of relaxation and enchantment.
