Soundworks is our regular music-making workshop held at St David’s Hall for adults who have numerous special needs. The sessions are attended by adults with a variety of physical and learning difficulties and it enables participants to explore and create music in an enjoyable and accessible manner. During the sessions the fundamental building blocks of music are explored and with the participants all requiring varying degrees of assistance from their support workers, the workshops also provide an opportunity for carers to develop skills in using music to build up their clients’ levels of social interaction, communication skills and confidence.
All sessions take place in our Lefel 1 studio here at St David’s Hall. All of the sessions take place between 1:30pm and 3pm with access via the stairs or the lift which goes directly into the space. Participants are welcome into the space from 12:30pm onwards and it is completely free of cost for participants to attend.
The safety of our participants and tutors is very important to us. Due to the circumstances surrounding the current COVID19 outbreak all Soundworks sessions are currently not taking place until further notice. Below you will be find activities and music for you to enjoy at home.
