Created with young people and schools in mind Rumpelstiltskin the opera, true to form, tells a story of magic, wily deception, careless lies, comedy, sorrow, self discovery and a crushing moral dilemma.
Rumpelstiltskin, composed by Helen Woods with libretto by Pete Talman, has been created and performed by Opera Boots.
The full Rumpelstiltskin Opera will be released in 8 weekly episodes over the course of Summer 2021, they will be FREE to download for a limited time period only. The materials and content are perfect for keystage 2 classes but equally they are adaptable so could be appropriate for younger years too.
Non specialist music teachers will find easily accessible approaches and ready to use video clips as well as ideas for cross curricular links and extension tasks. Each instalment of the story is accompanied by music warm ups and supporting materials to complement and extend the learning.
