Call out for Creative Practitioner: Llanharan Primary Schools Cluster

Project Delivery November – February

The three primary schools of Llanharan, Llantrisant and Brynnau are collaborating once again on year two of their Lead Creative School journey.  The schools are seeking inspirational Creative Practitioners to enable them to realise an artistic representation of their discoveries. Factual writing, blogging and recording of their research will also be a major part of the project.

They are keen to produce a piece of art related to the rich local history of the area and will use this theme in line with the ‘Successful Futures’ core purposes and areas of learning. The head teachers are keen to explore numeracy and problem solving activities with the pupils related to the making and positioning of the finished piece of work.

The team is hugely enthusiastic, supportive and open to ideas. With this in mind, they are seeking Creative Practitioners who are flexible, innovative and can develop a rapport with junior school children.

  • The overall objective of the project is to improve skills in real life application of numeracy and to embed and explore their local history thereby reinforcing their understanding of the wider world.
  • Providing the young learners with high quality learning opportunities and avenues for aspiration are equally as important.
