Feedback
‘I found that I felt so much more confidence once I was wearing the mask…this would really help children who are more shy or less confident’
‘I loved working with the masks, the tools and resources – ‘gum-strip’ is great! Masks are such a great way to help the children visualise – to evoke emotions.
The sessions start from a text (the Story of Taliesin) finding and developing themes and imagery through a range of literacy based activities, games and drama exercises. Participants will be equipped to deliver these in their own classroom and to develop their use to a range of circumstances.
The aim of the art workshop is for participants to create 3D masks by using a selection of materials that are appropriate for use in the classroom and then to learn techniques that can be taken into a range of different creative art projects. The creative making element on this course provides a chance for teachers to develop their own art skills and gain greater confidence to tackle arts projects in the classroom.
