Music Lab is an opportunity for people aged 14 – 18 yrs to explore the possibilities of music technology as a means of creating, recording and editing music.
Music Lab will be led by tutor Will Frampton, together with a selection of guest professional musicians. Participants will create soundscapes together with the musicians, using traditional musical instruments as well other sound sources, such as found sound and voice, to create experimental music and sound art. Apps, synthesisers, loops and other elements of sound recording and editing will also be used and participants are also welcome to bring their own instruments. Although the sessions are open to anyone aged 14-18rs, if you are outside this age group but you have an enthusiasm for music and a creative mind, please do get in touch with us to discuss other opportunities. a2@arts-active-trust.flywheelstaging.com
There will be no barriers to what you can create!
Music Lab, funded by Arts Council of Wales is one of the projects as part of the Young Creatives programme which is a diverse, exploratory, innovative and experimental programme of activity with and for young people. Whatever the artform, at the heart of our ‘young creatives’ programme is the desire to encourage arts-led inquiry, and offer the means to discover and enhance a language of self expression in participants.
