Tiddly Prom
Tiddly Prom has been touring annually since 2004 with five ever-popular shows; Bert’s Magical Musical Farmyard, Bert’s Magical Musical Kitchen, Bert’s Magical Musical Allotment, Cherry Pie’s Holiday Adventure and a Christmas special; Bert and Cherry’s Christmas Plum Pudding.
These accessible, interactive and informative preschool concerts enchant, amaze and inspire young children and the grown-ups they look after, as well as those with limited opportunities to experience live music. Not only are the performances lots of fun but they are also educational. Children learn about some of the building blocks of music as well as enhancing their problem solving and team working skills.
All Tiddly Proms have been specially designed by the Arts Active creative team for the under 5s and are a great opportunity for young children to experience music interactively, with professional musicians in a creative and fun environment. With original music composed by Helen Woods and performed live by orchestral musicians, a fun, silly story and lovable characters, Tiddly Prom introduces orchestral instruments and a full range of musical concepts to early years children whilst entertaining all on every step of the journey.
Family Prom
This prom is designed by the Arts Active creative team for the annual Welsh Proms and in partnership with Conductor Michael Bell and the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra. This family concert is an ideal introduction to orchestral music for the young ones and their families. The magnificent sights and sounds of the orchestra are celebrated with various themes that formulate this musical yet theatrical concert, with props, characters, funny costumes, audience participation and so much more. It’s a wonderful, fun experience for all in a relaxed and accessible way.
Soundworks Prom
This annual relaxed summer concert forms part of our inclusive Soundworks programme for adults and young people with learning disabilities. A short concert that includes a varied programme of enjoyable and light music, led and performed by musicians and workshop leaders Emma Davies and Philip Richards May, together with special musical guests.
