Dovetail Orchestra exists to provide a welcoming space for people seeking sanctuary and refugees. Building connections through music and supporting musical learning on a regular weekly basis.
We celebrate the many languages and cultures represented in our group through music. Together we work on Welsh folk songs, original compositions and traditional songs from participants’ home countries. It’s not just about the music, it’s about sharing stories, building friendships, and learning from one another too.
Rehearsals take place Thursday mornings, 10-11:30am, followed by refreshments.
No musical experience is needed, and all styles of music are welcome. Whether you play, sing, or want to try something new, we encourage you to come along and give it a try.
Free to attend. Payment for bus travel to the church is available if you need it.

Cardiff Dovetail is led by Helen Woods, supported by a group of friendly musicians to support and guide everyone’s musical journey.
