Open Orchestras is a project delivering music sessions in special schools in Cardiff enabling both pupils and staff to benefit from bespoke participation and training. In these sessions our music leaders work with cutting-edge technology to enable children with a variety of severe impairments to make music,
There is a building block approach to these session where we start with a one to one workshop which is tailored to the individual pupil, growing into group sessions developing music making skills alongside the individual sessions.
Currently we are working with Riverbank and Ty Gwyn SEN schools in Cardiff as part of the Open Orchestras programme, offering transition and continuum through from Primary to Secondary aged participants.
