The Central South Arts in Education Network MeetingsCyfarfodydd Rhwydwaith Canol De’r Celfyddydau mewn Addysg

Getting people from the arts and education sectors in the same place is the core of what we’re trying to do with A2:Connect. One of our methods right from the start was to hold a termly meeting for everyone in the region who is interested and involved in arts in education to gather together face to face.

The meeting is an opportunity for conversation, networking, an opportunity to see presentations about different projects and initiatives and to learn, exchange views and contribute to mapping a direction to the network.

We’ve held two meeting so far one back in March when things were just starting and another in July. The conversations and questions have helped us to start to put together a programme of activities for the network and learn from each other about what the future should look like.

We learned that regular termly meetings were seen as useful and that the meetings should focus on a particular theme or issue. We’re going to move the meetings around the area and between schools and cultural venues. The meetings have also been an opportunity to explore the different parts of the Creative Learning through the Arts plan and how the Lead Creative Schools Scheme, Regional Network and Experiencing the Arts Fund are very different but complementary programmes and we’ve also looked at the Artworks Cymru Quality Principles

As A2:Connect matures we envisage that the meetings will be hosted and led by different organisations both arts, heritage and educational. The events are open and free and we’ve been exploring a number of different meeting, discussion and forum styles so it’s not the same old panel discussion or Q&A format and as many voices as possible can be heard.

Our intention is that there is always some take away learning to be had and that everyone leaves with some clear ideas for creating, developing and encouraging valuable arts experiences for young people.

Cael pobol o sectorau’r celfyddydau ac addysg yn yr un lle sydd wrth graidd beth rydym yn ceisio’i wneud ag A2:Clymu. O’r cychwyn cyntaf un o’n dulliau ni oedd cynnal cyfarfod bob tymor er mwyn i bawb yn y rhanbarth sy’n ymddiddori yn y celfyddydau mewn addysg ac yn rhan ohonyn nhw ddod at ei gilydd wyneb yn wyneb.

Cyfle ydi’r cyfarfod i sgwrsio, i rwydweithio, cyfle i weld cyflwyniadau am wahanol brosiectau a mentrau ac i ddysgu, i gyfnewid barn ac i gyfrannu at fapio cyfeiriad y rhwydwaith.

Hyd yn hyn rydym wedi cynnal dau gyfarfod – y naill ym mis Mawrth pan oedd pethau ar gychwyn ac un arall ym mis Gorffennaf. Bu’r sgyrsiau a’r cwestiynau’n gaffaeliad i ni ddechrau llunio rhaglen o weithgareddau i’r rhwydwaith a dysgu gan ein gilydd sut olwg ddylai fod ar y dyfodol.

Cawsom wybod bod cyfarfodydd bob tymor yn cael eu hystyried yn fuddiol ac y dylai’r cyfarfodydd ganolbwyntio ar thema neu achos neilltuol. Byddwn yn symud y cyfarfodydd o gwmpas yr ardal a rhwng ysgolion ac oedfannau diwylliannol. Bu’r cyfarfodydd hefyd yn gyfle i chwilio’r gwahanol rannau o’r cynllun Dysgu Creadigol drwy’r Celfyddydau ac ym mha fodd y mae’r Cynllun Ysgolion Creadigol Blaenllaw, y Rhwydwaith Rhanbarthol a’r Gronfa Profi’r Celfyddydau yn rhaglenni gwahanol iawn ond cyflenwol ac rydym hefyd wedi bwrw golwg ar Egwyddorion Ansawdd Artworks Cymru.

Fel y bydd A2:Clymu yn aeddfedu rydym yn rhagweld y bydd y cyfarfodydd yn cael eu llywyddu a’u harwain gan wahanol gyrff – celfyddydau, treftadaeth ac addysgol. Mae’r digwyddiadau’n agored ac am ddim a buom yn ymchwilio i nifer o wahanol ddulliau cyfarfod, trafod a fforwm fel na fydd hi bob amser yr un hen fformat trafodaeth panel neu holi ac ateb ac fel y clywir cynifer o leisiau ag y bo modd.

Ein bwriad ydi ymorol bod yna bob amser rhyw ddysgu ‘i fynd allan’ i’w gael a bod pawb yn gadael a chanddyn nhw syniadau clir o ran creu, datblygu a hybu profiadau gwerthfawr yn y celfyddydau i bobol ifanc.
