Filmmaking academy for 16-19 year olds in Wales

Ffresh Talent BFI Film Academy are offering your students the chance to achieve a unit 1 NCFE Level 2 ‘Preparing to work in film’ award.

This course is aimed at aspiring filmmakers aged 16-19 years old living in Wales, and will take place in Cardiff and Swansea in early January 2018

The University of Wales Trinity St David’s in Swansea will deliver an Academy on visual effects and The University of South Wales in Cardiff will focus on animation.

Top organisations in the industry will deliver structured courses supporting talented and committed young people to develop the commercial and cultural knowledge and skills to help make a career in film a reality.

Based on previous years this opportunity will create real potential for your students for future employability in the industry.

Funding will be available to those eligible young people whose circumstances may not normally permit them to take up this sort of opportunity. Bursaries will cover aspects like transport, accommodation and childcare costs and will be available to any eligible young person living in Wales.
