Tuesday 19 February 2019 | 09:30-15:30 Memo Arts Centre, Barry

An accessible introduction to using song in the classroom that is ideal for the non-specialist teacher who finds doing music and especially singing with their class hard. A day long session that will provide strategies to make singing easy, fun and something that can be integrated into daily use. Through the day we will be looking at various free resources including the CânSing song bank.

A2:Connect is offering this day of Professional Learning for keystage 1 and 2 teachers in partnership with WNO. This training day will leave you more confident yourself and able to support pupils to be more confident too. We will explore different ways to approach singing using readily available online support material as well as lots of other ideas to try with your class group.

These day long courses aim to leave you with new strategies and ideas to take back to your classroom. Lead by practising artists with specific knowledge of arts in educational contexts each day combines both hands on and active practise as well as the opportunity to share and network with other teachers, colleagues and artists.

Places on the course are free to book and the network will sponsor your attendance by supporting the cost of supply staff up to £150 per day.
