A three-day course:

Friday 11 January 2019 Artes Mundi, National Museum Cardiff

Friday 8 March 2019 g39, Cardiff

Friday 24 May 2019 Chapter, Cardiff

This short course supports teachers thinking around how to incorporate and include contemporary art within the syllabus and the classroom. These sessions will take a practical approach to bringing contemporary art into schemes of work, how to begin looking at an exhibition and where to research and broaden knowledge around contemporary art. All three sessions will enable participants to hear contemporary artists based in Wales talk about their practice, look at an exhibition of contemporary art as well as practical advice that participants can take away and use in the classroom. These sessions will help create a network between artists, teachers and cultural organisations in the city.

All A2Connect CPD and professional learning events are free and schools in the Central South region can claim up to £150 for supply cover.
