Primary schools: tune in to the BBC this Thursday (26/9/19) to help your pupils get started in music with ‘Bring the Noise!’

Would you love to do more with music in your primary school – particularly for those just starting out on their musical journey? Well, this Thursday, 12 September at 1.45pm, you and your pupils can join in with a live online music lesson, launching the BBC’s exciting new music education initiative, Bring the Noise, for 4-7 year-olds.

‘YolanDa Brown’s Bring the Noise Adventure’ features saxophonist YolanDa Brown and her band who will be joined by special guests to introduce basic music concepts.

Bring the Noise will provide free curriculum-linked resources for teachers and children aged four to seven, including specially composed songs across a variety of genres, an interactive teaching tool called Play It!, teacher technique guides, classroom videos and lesson plans.

What else can you get access to?

  • Free, dedicated educational resources
  • A range of inspirational films and animations
  • Ideas for events across the school calendar
  • CPD opportunities
  • Free resources, ideas and activities to help parents support their children
  • Exciting inspirational content from some of the biggest names from across all genres of music, and a wide range of music and creative organisations
