We are very excited to share with you the news that Arts Active has been commissioned by Cardiff Council by the Child Friendly Cardiff UNICEF National Friends Cities and Communities project, to lead on the Arts & Cultural programme for its Welsh Government funded #WinterOfWellbeing.
We have been working hard over the last couple of months to create and deliver activities that will appeal to children and young people across the city. ‘Taking place in community spaces, leisure centres, youth centres and in the Child Friendly Cardiff Pop up space the programme combines both bespoke projects, open access events, sessions and short courses. By including; skills development projects alongside more playful tasters and exploratory experiences, we will harness the power of our city’s creative arts & culture to bring joy, improve wellbeing, social development and so much more’. Bryony Harris, Arts Active Trust Programme Director.
The hope is that young people will have the opportunity to experience new things, explore new ideas and have a better understanding of what their city has to offer.
‘Children and young people of Cardiff the #WinterOfWellbeing festival is for You!’
