Calling all aspiring young musicians aged 14-18 interested in composition, instrumentation and arranging…
This Summer, our CCS Young Composers scheme will look at writing for a viola, harp and flute trio. During the course, you will discover the sound worlds of the different instruments and explore their capabilities and limitations in order to create your own composition. Professional composer Ashley John Long will guide you through the four-day course to develop and further your understanding of composition and arranging, while the Vesta Trio will be on hand to enhance your understanding of writing for a viola, harp and flute ensemble and will professionally record your composition at the end of the course. This recording will be sent out to you to keep.
This course is FREE and will run from 15 – 18 August 2022
This is an exciting opportunity that will look great on further education applications and will be of particular benefit if you are building a portfolio of work for school or college or trying to work out what compositional career path to take or try.
