Criw Celf Bridgend: Intro to Plaster casting & Relief Sculpture led by artist Molly Harcombe

In this workshop you will learn about mould making and casting processes, sculpting and casting your own plaster bas-relief (low relief) plaque to take home. First creating a composition in clay, then mixing and pouring plaster to make the relief. You can use plants, flowers, small found objects and geometric forms to make your composition, or you can sculpt from clay. The casting process picks up fine detail and creates a raised impression. A selection of objects will be provided, but please bring any bits and pieces that you think will make an interesting imprint.
