Arts Active Partnerships

Creative partnership and collaboration is key to the work of Arts Active. By working collaboratively with other arts and community organisations we celebrate and champion co-development and co- production as a sustainable learning led approach.

By working collaboratively with other arts and community organisations we celebrate and champion co-development and co- production as a sustainable learning led approach.

The strength of our programme is that ownership is embedded within our communities. Working in partnership with others helps us nurture and build meaningful relationships that are key to the longevity and reach of the work we create.

Biosphere Guardians 2050 Project

Biosphere Guardians 2050 is an exciting tabletop roleplaying game design exchange project for young people themed around biodiversity and climate action. The Welsh team of game designers were formed through a project developed by PlayFrame and run in partnership with Arts Active with the support of Taith – The Wales International Exchange programme.

Participants based in Kempten (Germany), Trento (Italy), Sligo (Ireland) and from across Wales (UK) will work together to create a vision of the near future where humanity has begun acting as a responsible element in the world.

In the near future, vast nature reserves have been set up across the world to counteract the climate crisis and let nature return. The Biosphere Guardians are the scientists, rangers and ambassadors protecting and managing these new ‘lungs of the Earth’.

Despite this global positive turn, things do not always go to plan,  surprising new dangers can emerge, and for some people the temptations of old, destructive habits are hard to leave behind…

The Guardians of the Biosphere project is an excellent example of creativity, team working, and problem solving amongst young people. The project is part of an international exchange programme that includes group exchanges to Italy, Germany and Ireland as well as regular online sessions.
