A Taste of the Season

Taking place on the first Tuesday of each month, these 1-hour lunchtime concerts offer something for everyone – from long-time classical enthusiasts to those curious about classical music. Each concert is a curated experience, blending performances by internationally recognised artists, with exciting new voices emerging from Wales and beyond.

Following an exciting 24/25 season that featured artists like Welsh harpist Alis Huws, the Galliard Ensemble, the Mavron and Ferio Quartets, London Winds, and up and coming percussionist Jordan Ashman, the new season promises even more unforgettable performances.

Whether you’re into string quartets, woodwind brilliance, or solo recitals, Cardiff Classical is your chance to experience music of the highest calibre – all during your lunch hour.

Tickets

Tickets are available in advance via Ticket Source, or on the door (cash or card).

Affordable prices and a central daytime setting make this series accessible to all, without the challenges of evening travel. It’s a brilliant way to introduce friends, family, or colleagues to live classical music – or simply to treat yourself to an hour of musical escape.

Listen Beyond the Concert

Want to learn more about the music and musicians? Our Cardiff Classical Podcast, hosted by Dr Jonathan James, is the perfect companion to the series. Each lively episode dives into the concert repertoire, includes exclusive artist interviews, and brings you closer to the stories behind the sound.

Why Cardiff Classical?

The lunchtime concert series isn’t just a calendar event – it’s a platform for supporting emerging talent, a space for audience connection, and a celebration of classical music’s enduring power. As part of Cardiff’s vibrant cultural offering, this series helps keep live classical music thriving in the city – even while major venues are undergoing changes.

Join us each month at Eglwys Dewi Sant and enjoy the passion and energy of live classical music. A little escape, right in the heart of your day.
