Cardiff Classical Lunchtime Recitals: Gerard Brooks – Organ

In 2008 Gerard joined the staff of Methodist Central Hall, Westminster as Director of Music, where he plays the famous Hill concert organ. He is also Curator Organist of the outstanding historic reconstruction of Richard Bridge’s eighteenth century organ at Christ Church Spitalfields. He is a professor of organ at the Royal Academy of Music and is a tutor for the Royal College of Organists Academy.  This performance is supported by the Cardiff Organ events.

This programme profiles many established and well renowned musicians along with supporting emerging artists from across Wales, the UK and Europe. These short 1hr recitals will take place in the city centre at Eglwys Dewi Sant Church, St Andrews  Crescent on the first Tuesday of every month. They are accessible, relaxing, informal and a perfect introduction for anyone new to the classical music scene or for those who are passionate enthusiasts of classical music. Either way, you  can pop along and enjoy these during a lunchtime break, make an afternoon of it with friends or family, or simply come along yourself and enjoy!

Tickets: £6.50 (on the door).
