Calling all Schools! Nominate your Arts ChampionsGalw Ysgolion oll ac un: Enwebwch eich Hyrwyddwyr Celfyddydau

Are you a teacher or teaching assistant?

Are you passionate and committed to bringing the arts into the classrooms, corridors, playground and even the lunch hall at your school?

We are looking for Arts Champions based in primary, secondary and special needs education in Central South Wales’ Schools.

Whether a qualified teacher or teaching assistant; if you are keen to share skills, experience, expertise and most of all enthusiasm with other teachers and schools and to take on the role of public advocates of arts activity and experiencing the arts in schools in your immediate area we would like to hear from you.

A2 Connect, the Arts & Education Network – Central South is seeking 15 ‘Arts Champions’ for the new regional network. We will provide funding to schools to cover the release of these Champions who will spend short periods of time promoting best practice, training and supporting others to adopt similar approaches.

What is an Arts Champion?

The Arts Champions scheme aims to provide guidance and encouragement to teachers and pupils alike to follow their instinct and engage with creative activity through the arts.

Each champion will be expected to commit to the scheme for the period of at least one year, after this point their participation and ongoing engagement with the network and associated events will be encouraged and where possible funding and support provided but not guaranteed since as the programme rolls on further champions will be recruited to enhance and broaden the range of expertise.

What will Arts Champions be expected to do?

  • To promote and share best practice
  • To engage with the A2: Connect Arts & Education Network Central South by attending termly meetings, providing blog posts and seeking out examples of best practice and areas of need.
  • To provide peer support across agreed school clusters or other schools’ existing networks
  • To Provide the network with invaluable insight on what’s happening on the ground in schools

Rydym ar drywydd Hyrwyddwyr Celfyddydau sydd mewn addysg gynradd, uwchradd ac anghenion arbennig yn Ysgolion Canol De Cymru.

Pa un a ydych chi’n athro cymwys neu’n gynorthwywr addysgu, os ydych yn awyddus i rannu sgiliau, profiad, gwybodaeth arbenigol ac yn anad dim brwdfrydedd ag athrawon ac ysgolion eraill ac i ysgwyddo rôl eiriolwyr cyhoeddus gweithgaredd yn y celfyddydau a phrofi’r celfyddydau mewn ysgolion yn eich cyffiniau agos, byddai’n dda gennym glywed gennych.

Mae A2 Clymu, Rhwydwaith Celf ac Addysg – Canol De yn chwilio am 21 o ‘Hyrwyddwyr Celfyddydau’ i’r rhwydwaith rhanbarthol newydd.  Rhown gyllid i ysgolion i wneud iawn am ryddhau’r Hyrwyddwyr hyn a fydd yn treulio cyfnodau byr yn hyrwyddo arfer gorau, yn hyfforddi ac yn cefnogi eraill i fabwysiadu cyrchddulliau tebyg.

Beth ydi Hyrwyddwr Celfyddydau? Yr Egwyddorion.

Amcan y cynllun Hyrwyddwyr Celfyddydau ydi cynnig arweiniad a chalondid i athrawon a disgyblion fel ei gilydd i ddilyn eu greddf a chymryd rhan mewn gweithgaredd creadigol drwy’r celfyddydau

Bydd disgwyl i bob hyrwyddwr ymrwymo i’r cynllun am flwyddyn o leiaf, ar ôl y fan honno fe’u hanogir i ddal i gyfranogi a bod yn rhan o’r rhwydwaith a’i ddigwyddiadau cysylltiedig a, lle bo modd, rhoddir cyllid a chefnogaeth ond does dim sicrwydd o hyn oherwydd fel y treigla’r rhaglen yn ei blaen recriwtir hyrwyddwyr eto i wella ac i ehangu cwmpas yr wybodaeth arbenigol.  

Beth fydd disgwyl i’r Hyrwyddwyr Celfyddydau ei wneud?

  • Hyrwyddo a rhannu arfer gorau
  • Ymgysylltu ag A2: Clymu, Rhwydwaith Celf ac Addysg Canol De drwy fynd i gyfarfodydd bob tymor, darparu negeseuon blog a cheisio a chael enghreifftiau o arfer gorau a meysydd angen
  • Cynnig cefnogaeth i gymheiriaid ar hyd clystyrau cytûn o ysgolion, neu rwydweithiau sydd gan ysgolion eraill eisoes
  • Rhoi goleuni hynod werthfawr i’r rhwydwaith ar beth sy’n digwydd ar lawr gwlad mewn ysgolion
