The Arts Champions Application ProcessY broses gwneud cais

Programme overview

We are looking for Arts Champions who are based in primary, secondary and special needs education, whether a qualified teacher or teaching assistant who are willing to share their skills, experience, expertise and most of all enthusiasm with other teachers and schools, and take on the role of public advocates of arts activity and experiencing the arts in education.

The Network will provide funding to schools to cover the release of these Champions who will spend short periods of time promoting best practice, training, supporting others to adopt similar approaches.

If you or a colleague are interested in becoming an Arts Champion, application is by submission of the following:

  • A current C.V.
  • A letter of interest outlining why you would like to take on the role.
  • Details of two referees that can vouch for your work promoting the arts in school.
  • Examples of work, relevant to the essence of becoming an Arts Champion, that you would like to share with us (web-links acceptable).
  • A letter of endorsement signed by the Headteacher and school governing body

The closing date for applications is Friday 21 October and we will be announcing the successful champions for this year in the first week of November.

Remember: Why should you / your school submit a member of staff to become an Arts Champion?

There are many benefits to your school if you or a colleague becomes an Arts Champion:

  • Being a vital part of the National Creative Learning plan.
  • Enhanced preparation for applying the new Curriculum for Wales.
  • Expanding knowledge and experience of the individual teacher and hence the school.
  • Bringing new ideas into the school.
  • New ideas linking into school improvement plan.
  • Providing in-house training for your school.
  • The school will be intensely linked to the ‘Arts Champion’ community.
  • Career enhancing and morale boosting for the teacher.
  • Costs covered. All the above benefits are at no cost to the school.

Rydym yn chwilio am Hyrwyddwyr Celfyddydau sydd â’u canolfan mewn addysg gynradd, uwchradd ac anghenion arbennig, pa un ai’n athrawon cymwys neu’n gynorthwywyr dysgu, sy’n fodlon rhannu eu sgiliau, eu profiad, eu gwybodaeth arbenigol ac yn anad dim eu brwdfrydedd ag athrawon ac ysgolion eraill, ac ysgwyddo rôl pleidwyr cyhoeddus gweithgaredd yn y celfyddydau a phrofi’r celfyddydau ym myd addysg.

Rhydd y Rhwydwaith gyllid i ysgolion i wneud iawn am ryddhau’r Hyrwyddwyr hyn a fydd yn treulio cyfnodau byr yn hyrwyddo arfer gorau, yn hyfforddi ac yn cefnogi eraill i fabwysiadu cyrchddulliau tebyg.

Os oes gennych chi neu un o’ch cydweithwyr ddiddordeb mewn dod yn Hyrwyddwr Celfyddydau, mae gofyn cyflwyno’r canlynol i wneud cais:

  • CV Cyfredol
  • Llythyr i fynegi diddordeb, yn amlinellu pam rydych am ysgwyddo’r rôl.
  • Manylion dau ganolwr sy’n gallu rhoi gair dros eich gwaith yn hyrwyddo’r celfyddydau yn yr ysgol.
  • Enghreifftiau o waith sy’n berthnasol i hanfod mynd yn Hyrwyddwr Celfyddydau, y carech eu rhannu â ni (cysylltau’r we yn dderbyniol).
  • Llythyr cymeradwyo wedi’i lofnodi gan y Prifathro a chorff llywodraethol yr ysgol.

Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer ceisiadau ydi dydd Gwener 14 Hydref a byddwn yn cyhoeddi’r hyrwyddwyr llwyddiannus eleni yn ystod wythnos gyntaf Tachwedd.

  • Bod yn rhan hanfodol o’r cynllun Dysgu Creadigol Cenedlaethol.
  • Gwella paratoi ar gyfer rhoi ar waith y Cwricwlwm i Gymru newydd.
  • Ehangu gwybodaeth a phrofiad yr athro unigol a chan hynny’r ysgol.
  • Dod â syniadau newydd i’r ysgol.
  • Syniadau newydd yn cysylltu â chynllun gwella’r ysgol.
  • Darparu hyfforddiant mewnol ar gyfer eich ysgol.
  • Bydd yr ysgol yn rhan annatod o’r gymuned ‘Hyrwyddwyr Celfyddydau’.
  • Gwella gyrfa a chodi calon yr athro.
  • Ymorolir am y costau. Ni fydd yr ysgol yn mynd i unrhyw gost am yr holl fanteision uchod.
